Dr Kristy Robson is a Senior Research Fellow with the Three Rivers Department of Rural Health at Charles Sturt University. Kristy has significant experience working as a clinician, academic and researcher in rural and regional areas for the past 27 years contributing to improving health outcomes for community members living in regional Australia. She is the Deputy President of the NSW Podiatry Council and is the NSW Practitioner Member on the Podiatry Board of Australia. Kristy is also a Non-Executive Director on the Albury Wodonga Health Board, a large regional health service and the only cross-border health service in Australia.
Kristy has undertaken extensive research in the areas of ageing, enhancing mobility and preventing falls in both the community and hospital settings. She has a keen research interest in sustaining rural health workforce and in interprofessional collaboration, as well as developing interprofessional experiences of allied health students, both in Australia and internationally. Kristy is currently supervising a number of Higher Degree Research students and has authored several peer-reviewed publications, including journal articles and book chapters.
