In this workshop we will discuss the impact of stroke on the person’s mobility – both primary and secondary impairments. In particular we will explore what this means for podiatric practice and some of the ways podiatrists can help people with stroke improve their ability to move through life.
Prof Susan Hillier is a practising physiotherapist and academic in the area of clinical neuroscience. She is particularly interested in how people maximise their recovery and independence after brain injury such as stroke. She combines over 35 years of clinical practice with the experience of conducting many clinical trials usually in multi-and inter-disciplinary settings.
