PRESENTATION TITLE: 
‘Strong Men’: Aboriginal community development of a cardiovascular exercise and health education program. 

BIO:
Dr Brett Biles is a Murrawarri man and brings extensive Aboriginal lived experience as an early career researcher who has built Aboriginal community controlled research links with multiple Aboriginal communities. His mixed methods PhD titled “Strong Men’: Aboriginal community development of a cardiovascular exercise and health education program”, looked at the effects of a tailored exercise and health education program on cardiovascular disease in a regional setting. He is the Director of Education with the Office of Medical Education in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at UNSW, with a key focus on ensuring Aboriginal health and wellbeing components are embedded into health curriculum and that his research is situated in Indigenous research methodologies.
