Biography

Courtney Hammond is an Eastern Arrernte and Tanganekald woman with ties to Country in lower South East of South Australia and Central Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences, majoring in Medical Science and a Master of Public Health from The University of Adelaide. Courtney has worked on various research projects across eye health, social and cultural determinants of health and wellbeing, paediatric and reproductive health, foot health and men's health; all with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander focus. Courtney is the Community Engagement and Education Officer for the Walk Strong, Walk Tall team within Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity, SAHMRI, promoting healthy feet for our mob across South Australia.
