An Overview of Australian Podiatry Research (1970 -2024)

The presentation offers a comprehensive overview of all Australian podiatry-relevant research conducted between 1970 and 2024. Research was classified into ten distinct streams: dermatology, diabetes-related foot disease, gerontology, sports and musculoskeletal health, paediatrics, rheumatology, surgery, workforce and education, First Nations foot health, and neurological and vascular disease. Within each research theme, trends in research volume over time, key contributing authors and institutions, levels of evidence, funding sources, and thematic categories were explored.
