When does Early Bird close?  

Early Bird pricing will be closing on April 21st, 2023, so be sure to register before then to take advantage of the discounted rates.


Can I purchase a trade hall only ticket?

We do not offer trade hall only tickets. However, we do offer one-day tickets that grant access to the entire conference, including the trade hall. To purchase your one-day ticket, please visit our registration page where you can select the day of your choice 


Can I bring my Practice Manager? 

If you are an APodA member, you have the opportunity to register your practice manager for one day only at the Australian Podiatry Conference. Please visit our registration page to bring your practice manager for an additional fee of $185.00.


I am a non-member, can I bring my Practice Manager?

This is a APodA Member only benefit. However, Becoming a member of the APodA can offer many benefits, including discounted rates on tickets and access to exclusive resources and events. If you're interested in becoming a member, you can visit the APodA website and explore the different membership options available.


Do I have to register for the workshops?

If you're interested in attending any of the workshops, please make sure to keep an eye on your email inbox and our website for more information. We will be sending out details asking for an indication of attendance to help us plan and prepare for the event.


Do I have to register for the masterclasses?

Yes! If you're interested in attending one of our masterclasses, please make sure to keep an eye on your inbox and our website. We will be sending out details on how to register for the specific masterclass you're interested in. Registrations will be opening soon, so be sure to stay tuned for more updates!


Do I need to register for the social events?

Yes, please! Delegates will have received an email from the APodA with a direct link to their registration.  You can go back to your registration and add your attendance to let us know you will be attending. 


Can I bring a guest to the Welcome function?

As we have limited space available for our Welcome function, we kindly request that only registered delegates attend the event. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any additional guests.


Can I bring a guest to the trade hall drinks?

Absolutely! We'd love for you to bring a guest to the trade hall drinks. To do so, simply purchase a guest ticket for them at a cost of $75.00. We can't wait to see you both at the event and hope you have a great time!

Parking

The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre carpark offers 1,500 undercover parking spaces available at the Centre, accessed by Merivale Street. The car park is conveniently has direct lift access to the Centre’s convention and exhibition facilities and event spaces.

Other Venue Transport Options

A comprehensive network of trains, buses and city cats (ferries) link the Centre with Brisbane city and suburbs. Translink tickets are the best way to visit and travel around the city. 

By Train  
The closest train station is South Brisbane; only a few minutes walk away.  A regular Air Train service operates between Brisbane’s international and domestic airports.  Travelling time is approximately 25mins. Tickets are available from the Information Desk.  

By Bus  
The Cultural Centre is the main hub for most bus routes, only a few minutes walk away adjacent to the Queensland Performing Acts Centre. A Free Loop downtown bus service circles Brisbane’s Central Business District only.  

By River Cat  
The CityCat Ferry stops at Southbank Terminal 2 which is located on the Clem Jones Promenade.  CityCats run daily from 5.30am-10.30pm.  

By Taxi  
A dedicated taxi rank is located at the main entrance of the Centre on the Cnr Merivale and Glenelg Streets.  Taxis are also accessible in other locations in the South Bank precinct including the 2 hotels – Rydges and Mantra. 

Dress Code 

The dress code for the conference is business casual. It's always a good idea to dress for the occasion, so we hope you'll come looking sharp and feeling confident!


Where do I check in?  

As you make your way to the entrance, you'll see self check-in stations available for your convenience. But don't worry, if you need any help or have any questions, our friendly registration desk staff will be more than happy to assist you.


Exhibition  

The BCEC Exhibition Hall 1 will be hosting the exhibition, featuring a diverse range of exhibitors in the podiatry industry. For more information on our sponsors, please visit our website's sponsor and exhibitor page.

Where can I meet up with the APodA team?  

The APodA team will be stationed at a booth in the exhibition hall, and we would love to meet you! So please, don't hesitate to come over and say hello. We're excited to chat with you and answer any questions you may have.


Conference Mobile App  

Keeping you up to date and connected for the three days! The Delegate App allows you to view the program, speaker information, type event notes, network with other attendees, view exhibitors and sponsors and look out for any alerts the APodA staff may send delegates. The event app will soon be available to install onto your smart phone or tablet. You will be able to download and install your mobile app from your Android or Apple Apps Stores just search for EventsAIR. There will be further details coming up in your reminder emails.


I can no longer attend, what should I do? 

In the event you are unable to attend you may nominate a substitute at anytime, please send an email to events@podiatry.org.au. You can view the full Terms and Conditions here.


Will I receive a CPD Certificate?

Absolutely! You will receive a CPD Certificate electronically at the end of the event. We will endeavor to send these to you as soon as possible, although it may take up to 5 business days. It's important to note that as a delegate, it is your responsibility to declare the hours attended and keep a log of your CPD activities, including the date completed, a description of the activity, the category, number of CPD hours claimed, and the goal achieved.


How many hours can I allocate to my annual CPD by attending this event?

You will receive an attendance certificate for Category 1 Professional Development (attending a conference), it's up to you to determine how many hours, and include in your CPD log. Refer to the Podiatry Board of Australia's CPD guidelines for further guidance.


What if I have questions or need to make changes to my Accommodation?

Don't hesitate to reach out to the InHouse Event Solutions accommodation team if you have any questions or need to make changes to your accommodation arrangements. They're here to help and will be happy to assist you in any way they can.
