The common use of bionics within society is often considered to be a dream for many, until recent years. Professor Laurent Frossard discusses the emergence of new adapted sports such as the Cybathlon than could better the lives of many individuals suffering from limb absence. He presents how these new adapted sports contributes to improve function and mobility, thereby, the quality of live of prosthetic users while potentially reduce health care expenses associated with limb loss.
Professor Laurent Frossard is a bionic limb scientist passionate about developing ground-breaking prosthetic solutions to improve life of individuals suffering from limb loss. Prof Frossard was the Sport Biomechanist for the Australian Para-athletic team between the Sydney 2000 and Beijing 2008 Paralympic games.
