Tom Walsh

Tom Walsh is a Lecturer at QUT and a Visiting Research Fellow at Gold Coast Health. Following his undergraduate training, Tom completed his Masters degree in 2011 at UniSA and his PhD in 2018 at Flinders University, for which he was selected for the Vice Chancellor’s Prize for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. Tom has over 10 years of clinical experience working in the public and private sectors, and is endorsed to prescribe scheduled medicines. Tom has a clinical interest in the orthopaedic management of foot and ankle conditions, particularly in the context of obesity and chronic pain. Tom has a long history of collaborative work and research with orthopaedics and remains actively engaged with clinicians. Tom has published widely and regularly presents his work at international and national conferences, he is engaged with industry and clinicians, both in Australia and abroad.
