This presentation will unpack what we do and don’t know about the role of lower limb biomechanics as risk factors for Running-Related Injury, and the evidence base for certain biomechanical interventions as prevention strategies for injury among recreational runners.
Dr Benjamin Peterson is a Senior Lecturer in Podiatry at CQUniversity and holds the qualifications B Podiatry, B Health Science (Hons), and PhD (Podiatry). Benjamin has a research and clinical focus on running-related injury, however he is also actively researching across a range of areas including physical activity promotion, connective tissue disorders, chronic disease management, vascular disease, low back pain, occupational therapy, and sports science. Benjamin's research has been published in high-quality journals such as Sports Medicine - Open, Journal of Sports Sciences, and Diabetic Medicine, and has been presented at key conferences, including the Australian Podiatry Conference and the Sports Medicine Australia Conference.
