Our presentation is looking at the initial recruitment, induction and mentoring lifecycle over the initial 100 days of employment. We will be discussing our systems for identifying and attracting team members (recruitment), how to align them to our practice ideology and goals (induction), developing their clinical and interpersonal skills (mentoring) and the development of career pathways. Participants should come away with a clear understanding of the key timeline events over this first 100 day period and how to structure their own systems using the tools discussed in our presentation.
B.App.Sc.(Pod), M.App.Sc.(Acupuncture), Member Australian Podiatry Association
Brenton graduated from the South Australian Institute of Technology in 1989. After working in the Public health and aged care sectors for several years, Brenton moved to private practice to explore his growing interest in postural mechanics, human movement and CAD/CAM orthotic systems.
After studying manipulation and mobilisation, biomechanical and advanced orthotic techniques, Brenton continued to innovate the profession with the introduction of video gait and computer generated orthotic systems. These are now becoming commonplace in many practices. Brenton also provides continuing education courses on foot mobilisation techniques for the Australian Podiatry Association.
Completing a Masters Degree in Acupuncture in 2008, Brenton is now able to apply these techniques to his practice, providing a new area of treatment options for his clients. As a Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Brenton is able to provide full body acupuncture within a framework of Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
