PhD Candidate, Australia Paediatric Physiotherapists
Rachal is a Paediatric Physiotherapist with over 12 years of experiencing working with children and adolescents in tertiary teaching hospitals and private practices in Australia and Singapore. Rachal’s PhD project is developing guidelines for health professionals managing children and adolescents with hypermotility associated conditions and lower limb pain.
Rachal graduated from The University of Sydney, with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Physiotherapy. In 2019 Rachal was formally titled as a Paediatric Physiotherapist by The Australian Physiotherapy Association. In 2021 she completed her Master of Research with Macquarie University and The Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, developing a classification system to predict short term treatment outcomes for clubfoot managed with the Ponseti technique. This work was published in the Journal of Paediatric Orthopaedics in 2023.
Rachal’s particular areas of interest are Developmental and Orthopaedic physiotherapy. Rachal is passionate about working collaboratively with young people, their families and other health professionals.
